Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make an appointment and how long is a fitting?

Appointments are always given priority, however, we do try and accommodate walk-ins. A fitting can take up to an hour and if you have an appointment, a time with a fitting consultant will be reserved for you. You can now book your appointment online at your convenience.

What are your hours?

Please see our Locations & Hours section for the most up-to-date store hours.

Do you custom make your bras and swimwear?

No, however our fitting service ensures that you will find the exact garment to flatter your figure. We stock a full size range of swimwear and bras, and we have in-store seamstresses if adjustments need to be made to suit your needs.

Is there parking nearby?

Parking is not usually a problem on Yonge St. or side streets, However, there is also a City Parking Lot on Glenforest Rd. that always has availability.

What are your price ranges?

We have a large range of prices, but pride ourselves on quality and value. Our bras range from approximately $80-$200, and our swimwear from $100-350. We also carry panties, sleepwear, cover-ups, and accessories that have a wide range of prices. We strongly believe that by investing in quality, you look better, feel better, and save money in the long run. We pride ourselves on offering fair prices, and carry products that we believe are worth those prices.

Do you have gift certificates?

Gift cards are a beautiful way of gifting the Melmira Experience. That way, she can be pampered by the service and selection, and choose something that’s perfectly suited to her figure, lifestyle, and taste. You can purchase gift cards on line or in the boutique, and they can be beautifully gift wrapped for your convenience.

If the recipient has been a customer, we will have her size, purchase history, and her “wish list” on file. By purchasing something from her wish list, you can give her the gift of something you know she will love.

Can I place orders over the phone or internet?

With a history on file, re-ordering your favorite basic is made very simple. While calling the boutique is an option, we have created an online store, to bring you the convenience of having your favourite bra at your door step at no extra cost. We believe this to be an extension of our service, and while “fashion” will change, there are a number of basic styles that continue forward. We do recommend, however, that you be re-fitted at least once a year, as our bodies change over time.

What is the closest TTC subway station?

Lawrence subway station on the Yonge line (Bedford Park/Ranleigh exit). The boutique is on the east side, five blocks north of Lawrence at the Fairlawn intersection. See location details on our Location & Hours section.

Do you have a bridal registry?

Yes! Ideally, the bride books an appointment to be fitted for lingerie and swimwear, and we create an extensive wish list for her, including prices, so that items can be purchased for her from friends and family. This is a great way for the bride to get beautifully fit items that she will wear for years to come.

What is your return policy?

Due to the service that we provide, and the fact that many of our products are considered intimate, we are unable to return items which tags have been removed. If the purchase is brand new, we will exchange or issue a credit note to be used in the boutique within a year’s time. Our policy is for items to be returned within 7 days, but can be flexible in extenuating circumstances. Having said that, we stand behind our products and our fit, and we appreciate any concern after a fitting to be brought to our attention.

How long have you been in business?

We opened our doors in 1992, with two women, two fitting rooms, and a very unique concept. Here we are, almost 25 years later, with 23 women who speak 8 different languages, 14 fitting rooms, and that very same unique concept. We continue to grow one customer at a time, and pride ourselves on that very same service that started our business many years ago.
